snow day!

Happy Snow Day!!!  When is it that you stop believing in luck and superstitions to get a snow day?  Probably never.  Tara did her snow dance, Terry’s daughter wore her pajamas inside out.  I always know that if I get my hopes up, there will be no snow day.  I had to prepare for school, make sure all my homework was done, set out my clothes, pack my lunch.  I had my hopes up so high by the time I went to bed last night that I was SURE I had ruined it!  So, WOO HOO, snow day!  Just goes to show–packing my lunch does not make it snow!

I got this quote in a forward today:

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming “WOO HOO what a ride!”
